The business started in 1976 as Sun Tile in Mountainair, New Mexico by Steve McVey; it was sold to the Wimsatts and moved to Estancia, New Mexico in the early 1980’s. Alicia and Mary Cox bought the business in 2002 and moved it to Euless, Texas, renaming it Sun Tile of Texas.  Alicia has another job and Mary wants to retire so they are selling the business.  Sun Tile of Texas designs tiles for addresses, trivets, coasters, name plates, backsplashes, message boards, awards, plaques, etc. Each tile is meticulously glazed, individually, by hand, and kiln fired to approximately 2000 degrees F.
